Reflection on my models
Model 1
Model 1 is my pristine design which has no
technological abilities to it except the puissance/power button and the charger
itself. Comparing to the upgraded model it has no music, no patterns or
designs, and is very simple. However since model 1 is a simple design it has a
low cost price and is affordable. This model includes, the wire, the go to
charger itself which is shaped into a middle sized round shape that could
facilely fit in your bag, pocket etc...
The Go-To-Charger is congruous for any
electronic contrivance like an Iphone, Samsung, Ipad, Android Tablet....
Model 2
Model 2 is my upgraded version of the Go-To-Charger (Withal Kenned As:
GTC).This includes a potency button, a volume button, Verbalizers, a holder for
the phone , so unlike the first version this has no wire meaning you can place
the phone inside the hole for your contrivance and it automatically charges.
This upgraded version, as you can see, is a personalized model. The customer
can pick: The colour, Shape, Design, and pattern. Although the cons of this is
that the price is more extravagant than the first version depending on its size
and shape or how perplexed the customer wants it to be. As I have verbalized
afore, one thing that doesn't transmute in this design is that you can utilize
it for any device of your own whether it is an old phone or an incipient one.
This design integrates a protective layer to the product and your phone when you
place it into the aperture.
Reflection
Making these 2 models has elated me even though i
had some technological quandaries I made it and was able to make both of my models.
In my opinion I prefer my second design/model as it was more facile to engender
and the customer can optate their own personalized GTC and is a better and is
more protective. Veraciously I had found my first model harder to engender as
it had more products placed discretely and i had to make all of them into one
and as for my second model i only had to place one shape and just take other shapes,
letters and numbers and commix together, which may seem to take more time than
my first model but didn't. Instead it took me less time to engender and I was
very open to conceptions albeit I cerebrate it doesn't authentically match my drawing
well however model number one did indeed match into my drawing which I was
surprised by.
In my opinion if people visually examine both of
my designs I cerebrate they would optate my second model as it is more
captivating and fun to visually examine and has effulgent colours. I find model
1 simple and not authentically a pristine and unique design that may or may not
have been engendered as technology has been amended and made all kids of
different and ingenious products. Utilizing TinkerCAD has shown me skills that I
didn't acknowledge afore and will hopefully keep utilizing and discovering incipient
skills.
As I have verbalized afore I am ecstatic and
authentically proud of my 2 designs and as it took little time to engender I
have relished it very much. I hope to utilize the software TinkerCAD in the
future because of its ingenious ways it puts everything into and we may not ken
but I believe it can be immensely colossal use in the future someday and has
genuinely shown me how paramount the utilization of technology is.
Choosing my Model:
My final culled
design is model 2 as it has more advanced features and buttons. Model 1 has
only one button which is the potency/power however my second design is more
involute and is capable of doing more technological powers for example, the volume,
it could be personalized by the customer and is their choice, microphone and
includes a control with it. I relish this design more since it seems more fun
and intriguing to look at with the effulgent color and its appearance is eye
catching. I personally prefer
this design and I feel like I could practice more on TinkerCad because I find
this time consuming and if I practice I will be able to get utilized to it and
will take less time than conventional. I optate to endeavor again next timing
and working harder to be able to achieve my goal and meet all my specs. In my
opinion my model 2 design is genuinely nothing like my pristine Go-To-Charger
model as it is a different shape and could be personalized by the customers on
size, technological potencies, colors etc..

3D Modeling/Printing
What is 3D Printing:
"3D printing is also known as desktop lie/construction, it can form any material that can be received/be gotten as a powder." (http://www.3ders.org//3dprinting.html\).To create anything on the printer you need a 3D Model that could be drawn, taken from the internet or use asoftware. The 3D Model is usually saved in a STL Format and sent to the printer. You can use plastic but you can insert different material.
How does a 3D Printer Work:
The first thing that happens during a 3D Printer is to use a 3D Scanner to scan the digital file to get it ready for the printing process. The scanner can be built privately but is way more expensive, so usually people buy the scanner itself .
What is the Technology behind it?
Not all 3D printers use the same technology. There are (more than two, but not a lot of) ways toprint and all those available are (serving to add something), different/disagreeing mainly in theway layers are build to create the final object. Some methods use melting or softening material toproduce the layers. The most common technology using this method is called stereolithography(SLA).

Project – 3D Modelling and Design
Inquiry and Analysis
Statement Of Inquiry: Digital Design & Printing as a form of communication and output has evolved through time and space to influence audience’s perspective.
Introduction
Primary and Secondary Research:
For my primary research i will be doing a survey that involves asking my classmates from the class of 8AA which of course they would have to answer and give their opinions.I have collected the information and the answers that my class has given me and i will be putting it onto excel and putting in my fellow classmates answers that they have given me.
Looking at my table above you can surely see that my product has fairly positive comments for example : Would you agree to selling this product
Many people have answered to it yes however just one has said no so from this survey table you can definitely tell that it has good comments from the girls most of all although boys would rather say it would not be as helpful as the girls say because girls are more social active on phones to chat (at times)This graph is proving that my product would sell and it would avail a plethora of people, giving me the approbation to perpetuate my research and endangerment.
I have searched my product online as to which as helped me to develop my product in a more useful way in different creations, sizes and shapes.
Pictures that i have found on the internet:

Secondary Research:
For my secondary research i have collected videos on different websites but most used on youtube to see how to make the product and i wasn't really surprised that there was diy's on it because technology has been all over the world in creative ways. These videos have given me a deep connection to what i should start doing better or change my product in creative ways.
The sites that i have collected for inspiration are:

Statement Of Inquiry: Digital Design & Printing as a form of communication and output has evolved through time and space to influence audience’s perspective.
Introduction
My name is Nada and i am a student of Digital design in
Emirates International School Meadows and i study technology. As part of this
term 1 we have been learning about a website to design 3D Modeling Objects
called Tinker Cad and has developed a unique way to design or create 2D/3D
Objects. For this project I will have to collect data on what kind of skills
are required to improve these skills. My Research on this will be based on
primary and secondary research. I went home and started to think what would i
create using this website named Tinker Cad and how it would be helpful to the community.
As part of MYP Project i will create a Charger shaped as a cup for an IPhone.
From experience i end up forgetting to charge my phone at night when I'm about
to sleep and the next day when i have to take my phone with me and I'm in a
hurry my phone ends up with low battery. I as well have friends with experience
with this problem so i think this would be a great idea for charging your
battery by using a cup holder while charger your phone inside it. My target
audience is off-course with people who own their own iPhones or phones (but in
this example I’ll be using an iPhone) and can’t remember to charge their phone
before they have to go somewhere and cannot wait until it charges and have to
leave their phone behind. This most of all works on Teenagers but it can be
used for many more people like adults as they might be as forgetful and i will
start to research on how i can improve my creation or design if it already
exists and how to make it better as i go on onto my information and research.

Shapes On Tinkercad Activity
Smiley Face Emoji
1. search the cylinder in the geometric section
2. flatten it to a height of 3mm, the width is 43mm and the length is 38mm
3. Then click the sphere and placed two spheres as eyes
4. After click the hole option, (top right corner)
5. Then click the half sphere and place it below the eyes
6. click the hole option to make it a hole
7. click on the box and make it to a length of 17.08mm, width of 6.28mm and height of 5,71mm
8. click on the cylinder and flatten it to a height of 3mm, width of 31mm and length of 45mm
9, Go on 'letters' option and click the letters 'h' and 'i', which obviously spell 'hi'
10. Find the exclamation mark and place it next to the letters.
Snowman:
1- Search the sphere in the geometric section and place in on the workplane
2- The first sphere is of a length of 24mm, width of 26mm and height of 20mm
3- The second sphere is of a length of 19mm, width of 19mm and a height of 20mm
4- The last sphere is of a length of 16mm, width 16mm and a height of 17mm
5- and your done with your snowman
House:
1-.Go on 'shape generators' and on 'geometric'
2-. search for the red box and click on it
3- change the length to 20mm and width 20mm as well as the height to 20mm
4-. Than change the colour of the box to any of the following colours listed
5.- After that search in the geometric section for the roof
6- change the length to 20mm and width 20mm as well as the height to 10mm
7- To make the door, click again for the red box but made it smaller to fit the house (height of 13mm, length of 9mm and width of 3mm)
8-. To make the chimney get another red box but sized it to a height of 14mm, width of 8mm and length 7mm and placed it on top of the roof
9-. To create the smoke,Search the sphere in the geometric section and make it small so it could fit the chimney.
10-. Find the correct size of the shape and then just copy and paste the sphere to make many of the smokes around and on-top of each other

Tinkercad Lessons.
Steps for lessons on Tinkercad
Lesson 1: Learning the rules result:
1- Drag the light brown construction to the area outlined in orange.Be as accurate as you want!
Lesson 2 : Camera Controls Result:
1- Look around and zoom in to explore the model.
2-Turn your view from the arrows at the upper left corner.
3- Press up down ,left or right to see who is behind the curtains.
4-Zoom in and out with the = and - button on the left side of the page, the home button on the center of the arrows takes you back from where you began/Starting view.
The skill I learnt in this lesson was to move shapes along the workplane. It was really easy because it actually just had one step since it was lesson one and there were no hard parts, but it was really good for lesson one.The skill I learnt in this lesson was to look around the picture, using the zoom and the corners. It was a little bit confusing in the start because you didn't know which zoom button or arrow to click and sometimes it didn't take you where you wanted it to
Lesson 3: Creating Hole results
1. Drag the brown hexagonal prism shape on the area outlined in orange
2. click on the Hole feature and choose a cylinder hole
3. place the cylinder hole on the other side of the key
4. After that group all three shapes together by pressing shift and clicking the hexagonal prism shape and the cylinder hole; then click the 'group'option which made them group and stick together
Lesson 4: Scale Copy And Paste
1- First Pick the orange cylinder shape and place it on the outlined area.
2-Repeat the same step as number 1.
1-Drag the letter on the red base ( You can be as creative you like so you can design everything your own way)\
2-Re size the red base so the text can fit into it.
3-Drag your letter to the red base to make a word, name, place etc,.
when you had finished that clear the rest of the letters and on top by selecting it and group them by pressing group on the top right.
The skill I learnt in this lesson was to create my own personal key ring. I had found this lesson really easy even though it had lots of steps however this lesson made you use your own creativity a lot more than any other lessons that i had done.
Last Lesson.
What did I do last lesson:
Last week on Thursday Miss Veena had told us to use a website called Tinkercad (https://www.tinkercad.com/)
Tinkercad is a simple, online 3D design and 3d printing tool for the masses. Whether you're a designer, hobbyist, teacher, or kid, you can use Tinkercad to make toys, prototypes, home decor, Minecraft models, jewelry etc...You can change the size and colour of any shape and modify it until you are happy with it.
Last week on Tinkercad we had to make our own 3D Design and follow instructions on a PDF where it told us how to make a boat using that particular website. (http://www.3dvinci.net/PDFs/GettingStartedInTinkercad.pdf)
In the site of Tinkercad we had explored around a bit and had signed into a new account and experience what Tinkercad basically does.
Even though i had only gotten halfway through to my boat design it started to actually start forming into that shape and i was quite proud to have done this since it was my first time to explore it. Eventually i hope we could do more of these lesson in Digital Design because i had found it a quite particular and interesting lesson that time.

Research on Different Types of Printers
Inquiry and Analyzing- 3D Design and Modeling
Father Of Printers:
Johann Gutenberg invented the printing press in the 1450's, and the first book to ever be printed was a Latin language Bible, printed in Mainz, Germany.
Johann Gutenberg had an idea to invent a Block Printer, since all his book writing came into good use. The printer first cut a block of hard wood the size of the page that he was going to print. Then he cut out every word of the written page upon the smooth face of his block. This had to be very carefully done. When it was finished the printer had to cut away the wood from the sides of every letter. This left the letters raised, as the letters are in books now printed for the blind. The block was now ready to be used. The letters were inked, paper was laid upon them and pressed down. With blocks the printer could make copies of a book a great deal faster than a man could write them by hand. But the making of the blocks took a long time, and each block would print only one page.
Different Types Of Printers:
There are two types of Printers= Impact Printers and Non-Impact Printers
Non-impact printers do not use a striking device to produce characters on the paper; and because these printers do not hammer against the paper they are much quieter. Following are some non-impacted printers.
Types of Impact Printers:
- Do-Matrix Printers
- Daisy-Wheel Printers
- Line Printers
- Drum Printers
- Chain Printers
- Band Printers
Types of Non-Impact Printers:
- Ink-Jet Printers
- Laser Printers
Evolution Of Printers:
Name of the printer and the Year in which it was invented.
Who was behind the invention?
What was the technology it used?
Appropriate picture/Video to be put up on the blog.
The printers to be discussed are:-
Dot Matrix Printer
Daisy Wheel Printer
Inkjet Printer
Laser printer
Thermal Printer
Also Discuss the advantages and disadvantages
History of different types of printers:
An invention as useful as printing, in a Europe of increasing richness, easily finds new customers.
The first Italian press is founded in 1464, at the Benedictine town of Subiaco in the (related to the office and rule of the Pope) states. Switzerland has a press in the following year. Printing beginsin Venice, Paris and Utrecht in 1470, in Spain and Hungary in 1473, in Bruges in 1474 (on a pressowned by Caxton, who moves it to London in 1476), in Sweden in 1483. By the end of the centurythe craft is (done or used by many people) in every European kingdom except Russia.
Within the first century of printing two more friendly methods become available - set of written words (on jewelry, etc.) and etching. Both are described as intaglio ('cut in' in Italian) because theydig out grooves in the surface of a copper plate. In set of written words (on jewelry, etc.), sliversof metal are deeply cut/cheated out with a sharp tool (the burin). In etching, acid is used to eataway the copper along lines drawn through a coating of wax (which protects the rest of the metalsurface).
The disadvantage is that intaglio prints require a different kind of press, where the inked copperplate and a sheet of paper are together passed between two rollers, like a great mangle. Intensepressure forces the paper into the grooves of the metal to pick out the ink.
